Taylors Mistake Beach Carpark.

Located 15km east of Christchurch city, just over the hill from Sumner.

Please allow for extra time travelling to the event due to the narrow roads and possible roadworks. We encourage competitors to car pool if at all possible.

The Boulder Bay Classic starts on the beach before joining the Godley Head track – a well formed gravel pathway maintained to a high standard. There are a number of gates, as well as sections of wooden boardwalks and steps. In 2024 there will be sections of the run through farm paddocks (sheep tracks and 4 wheel drive tracks) where the surface can be uneven, rutted, or contain rocks and tussock.

While the track is very runnable, care is needed due to the coastal terrain, the narrowing of the track in places, and the traverse of farmland.

Please do not wear ipods or similar electronic gear during this run.

KID’S DASH

This will be a fun event for children under the age of 13 years.  An entry fee of $10 gets a race number and a medal.

The run will be approximately 700 – 1200m around the prize giving area.

The Kids Dash will start just before the prize giving.

A timing clock will be positioned at the finish line.
